MBBS is an undergraduate degree programme in the medical field. A person holding MBBS degree becomes a certified doctor. It takes 5.5 years for the completion of the degree including one year of rotational internship at hospitals, health centres, and health camps organised by non-profit organisations. MBBS includes the study of human anatomy, human cytology, medicine, chemistry, pharmaceutical, chemistry, drug formulation & effect and method of surgery. MBBS is one of the most sought courses after Class 12 (Science) in the medical field. Specialisations options for MBBS students are Medicine, Nephrology, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Anaesthesiology, Organ Transplant, Endocrine, and General Surgery, etc.
