Delhi MBBS Counseling

Delhi is the capital of India and hence it has always remained as a hub of education. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counseling of DU MBBS 2020 in the second week of June. Candidates who will qualify NEET exam on 7th May, 2023, will be eligible to participate for DU MBBS/BDS counseling 2023. NEET 2023 qualified candidates can participate in the DU NEET seat allotment process for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 85% State Quota seats offered by three medical colleges and one dental college.

Delhi State Quota Counseling is conducted by two counselling authorities namely Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprashta University (GGSIPU).  DU MBBS counseling 2023, 600 MBBS and 40 BDS seats will be offered in medical and dental colleges affiliated to Delhi University. The authority will conduct as many as three rounds of DU MBBS seat allotment 2023 process namely round 1, round 2 and mope up round. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha university MBBS counseling 2023 will be conducted for 348 MBBS and 43 BDS seats, will be only responsible for 85 % state quota seats, rest the remaining 15 % seats All India Quota seats from government colleges will be conducted by MCC .

Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualifications

Passing class 12 and qualifying NEET 2023 is must for medical aspirants who seek admission in Delhi MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates must also be medically fit to participate in admission. Check details below:

  • Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English must have been part of the curriculum of the student in class 12 for him/her to be eligible for Delhi MBBS and BDS courses.
  • Candidates will have to secure the minimum aggregate marks as per their category i.e. 50% for general candidates, 45% for PH students belonging general category and 40% for reserved category candidates.
  • Candidates who had previously taken admission in BDS/ MBBS courses and failed to pass the first year exams will be considered ineligible for admission to Delhi MBBS and BDS courses.

Nativity/ Domicile Holders: Candidates must have passed class 12 from schools situated in Delhi NCR if they seek admission under the 85% state quota. The board of education in class 12 must have been CBSE, ICSE or JMI.

Nationality: Indian national and OCIs will be eligible to apply for MBBS and BDS courses available in Delhi medical colleges.

Age: Candidates applying for Delhi MBBS admissions 2025 must have born after 31st December 2008.

Step by Step DU Counseling Process

Delhi MBBS and BDS application 2024 can be filled online if aspirants seek admission to the state’s medical colleges. See the steps below in order to apply:

  • Registration:In order to register for Delhi MBBS admission 2025 will have to provide their contact details and NEET 2025 details in order to register. Candidates will also have to agree to the terms and conditions of Delhi MBBS and BDS admissions in order to register for choice filling, locking and counselling process 2025.
  • Personal Details:After agreeing to the terms, candidates will have to provide personal details, academic details, and security questions in order to submit and start the procedure. It is advised to enter the details carefully, as the allotment and other communications will be done through this information. Thereafter, they have to create a password following the instructions mentioned by the authority. Once the password and other details are done, click on submit button to proceed. After the registration process, the password of DU MBBS counselling 2025 will be sent to the registered email ID, which must be preserved for future logins. In order to login, candidates have to enter their NEET roll number and password and the link for the same will be provided when available.
  • Choice Filling and Locking:On completing the Delhi MBBS and BDS registration procedure successfully, candidates will be able to see the colleges available. They can select from these colleges and their preferred courses as seats will be allocated to them as per their choice list. The choices can also be changed before each seat allocation round before locking the choices. However, if the candidates have locked the choices, changes in the choice list will not be permitted.
  • Payment of Application Fees:After completing the above steps. Candidates will have to pay the Delhi MBBS and BDS application fees in order to confirm their participation.
  • Seat Allotment Result: The authority will start the process of allotment of DU MBBS 2025 for each round separately. The seat allotment process of DU MBBS admission 2025 for round one will be done in the last week of June, followed by second week of seat allotment in the third week of July. In case of any other vacant seats left, DGHS will conduct a mop-up round of DU MBBS allotment 2025 in the third week of August. The seat allotment process will be done on the basis of choices filled, NEET UG rank, seats available in the particular college, reservation criteria and other factors.
  • Counselling Result: The result of DU MBBS/BDS counselling 2025 will be released for each round in the PDF format. DU MBBS allotment list for round one will be published in the last week of June, while the second-round result will be announced in the third week of July. While DU MBBS counselling 2025 result for mop-up round will be declared in the third week of August.
  • Reporting to the college: Candidates who will be allotted a college during DU MBBS/BDS counselling 2025 will be required to report at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMSC), University of Delhi, for completion of admission process and document verification. The allotted students also have to register themselves at FMSC for the allotment process. After registering at DU faculty, candidates can report at the designated college for joining the MBBS/BDS seat.

Essential Documents Required for DU Counseling Process

  • NEET 2025 scorecard.
  • NEET 2025 admit card
  • Printout of NEET 2025 Registration form.
  • Scanned Signature of applicant
  • Self Attested copies of – Class 10th, Class 12th passing certificate, Aadhaar Card, Character certificate issued by principal of school last attended.
  • Eight Passport size Photos (should be same photograph affixed on NEET and Counseling application form)
  • OBC/SC/ST/Disability Certificate issued by competent authority in standard format as mentioned in the prospectus.
  • Provisional allotment letter – Downloaded from the MCC website
  • Certificates from the school required – School is situated within National Capital Territory of Delhi, School is recognized by CBSE/ICSE/Jamia Milia Islamia, School is conducting regular classes, Candidate had attended regular classes for class 11th and class 12th.
  • Note: Candidates are required to bring the printout of Registration For, Allotment Letter along with original documents/certificates and two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of admission.
