PUNJAB MBBS COUNSELLING
Introduction
Punjab MBBS Counselling is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) Faridkot for all the eligible candidates. Candidates who will qualify NEET 2025, will be eligible to participate for Punjab MBBS/BDS counselling 2025.
NEET 2025 qualified candidates can participate in the Punjab NEET seat allotment process for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 85% State Quota seats offered by three medical colleges and one dental college.
There will be a total four round of counselling Round 1, Round 2 and mop- up round and stray vacant round for Punjab MBBS BDS admission 2025. Counselling round 1 and round 2 will be held in completely online mode. Mop -up round will also be going to be conduct in online mode as per the availability of the seats& Stray vacant round is being conducted by respective college depending upon seat availability. Students can pay the tuition fees through online mode after the allotment result.
In Punjab there are total 9 Medical Colleges along with 1 AIIMS (AIIMS Bathinda) are approved by MCI and Participating in NEET Counselling. Out of these 4 are Government Medical Colleges and 11 are private Medical Colleges. In Punjab total 1700 MBBS Seats are available excluding 1 AIIMS. Out of these, 750 MBBS Seats are available in Government Medical Colleges,950 MBBS Seats are available in Private Medical College.
Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification: NEET 2025 is mandatory for admission in Punjab MBBS and BDS courses and candidates must have secured the NEET cut-off percentile set by CBSE. Other than this, the following are the eligibility requirements for admission:
- Apart from passing 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in class 12 board exams.
- General candidates with physical disabilities will be required to score 45% marks in class 12, whereas reserved candidates with physical disabilities will be required to score an
aggregate of 40%.
Nativity/ Domicile Holders: Only bonafide residents of Punjab can avail admission under the 85% state quota. Only those candidates who qualify the following criteria will be exempted from this rule:
- Candidates whose parent/s were working with the Central of India/ Punjab Govt./ or All India Services and have now passed away.
- Candidates who are children/ dependents of Central Govt. Employees (now not alive) who were posted in Punjab for at least 2 years out of 3 immediately preceding the year of passing Class XII or equivalent, but were posted outside of Punjab for some time during this period.
- Candidates born in Punjab who are children of late Defense/Para Military
- Candidates who are children of Defense Personnel posted in
- Candidates applying under the NRI/ Minority quota are also eligible to avail the state quota seats.
Nationality: All candidates or OCI or NRI applying for Punjab MBBS and BDS courses available at state-based colleges must be citizens of India.
- Age: Candidates seeking admission in Punjab medical colleges must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31, Only those candidates who fulfil this requirement will be eligible for Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions
Step by Step Counselling Process
Punjab MBBS and BDS application 2025 can be filled online if aspirants seek admission to the state’s medical colleges. See the steps below in order to apply:
- Registration: Candidates can apply for Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions online by filling in some basic details as mentioned in the NEET 2025 application form and admit cards. Candidates will also have to agree to the terms and conditions of Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions in order to register for, state merit list, choice filling, locking and counselling process 2025.
- Personal Details: After agreeing to the terms, candidates will have to provide personal details, academic details, and security questions in order to submit and start the procedure. It is advised to enter the details carefully, as the allotment and other communications will be done through this information. Thereafter, they have to create a password following the instructions mentioned by the authority. Once the password and other details are done, click on submit button to proceed. After the registration process, the password of Punjab MBBS admission 2025 will be sent to the registered email ID, which must be preserved for future logins. In order to login, candidates have to enter their NEET roll number and password and the link for the same will be provided when available.
- Uploading Documents: Candidates will also have to upload scanned copies of their NEET 2025 scorecard, category certificate (if applicable), signature and passport size photograph. The photograph to be uploaded must bear the date and name of the candidate at the bottom. An affidavit also needs to be scanned and submitted. Candidates must take a printout of Punjab MBBS and BDS application form as it will be referred to later during the document verification procedure and other rounds of admission.

- Publishing of Punjab MBBS merit list: After filling out the Punjab MBBS application form 2025 the authority will release the state merit list which includes the candidates roll number along with their merit rank.
- Choice Filling & Locking: After completing the verification procedure successfully they can select from these colleges and their preferred courses as seats will be allocated to them as per their choice list. The choices can also be changed before each seat allocation round before locking the choices. However, if the candidates have locked the choices, changes in the choice list will not be permitted.
- Seat Allotment Result: On the basis of choices filled, availability of seats, state merit rank, seat reservation the seats will be allotted to candidates for the Punjab MBBS admission 2025.
- Reporting to the college: Candidates are required to report at the designated colleges within the required date and timings for granting the Punjab MBBS and BDS 2025 admission.
Submission of Online Admission Application Form
- Candidates should read the Punjab notification and instructions as contained in the Prospectus carefully on University website i.e. www.bfuhs.ac.in.
- Only NEET-UG-2024 qualified candidates are eligible to apply for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.
- Candidates are required to register themselves for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses through online portal by due date and time.
- Candidates are advised to fill the online admission application form well in advance to avoid the network congestion in the last days. BFUHS will not be responsible for network congestion/problems. No request for accepting the forms after cut-off date will be entertained.
- Following documents are required to be uploaded for the online registration:
- Soft copy of Photograph of the candidate (Maximum size 30 KB).
- Soft copy of the signatures of the candidate (Maximum Size 30 KB)
- After completion of filling online admission application form, University will issue a unique Registration ID (i.e. Login ID) and password to the candidate at his/her registered Mobile number through SMS/ email.
- Merely submission of online application form & fee does not confer any right to the candidate secure a seat for MBBS/BDS course.
- No request for submitting online Admission Application Form after due date/time will be entertained on any ground.
- Candidate shall submit online ADMISSION APPLICATION FORM only Applications submitted more than once are liable to be rejected.
- Candidates are required to fill online Admission Application Form very carefully and should not leave any column blank, fill ‘0’ (zero) in case of Roll Number/Rank/Marks are not available. However, a PDF file pertaining to steps for submission of online Admission Application Form will be uploaded on the University website (if required).
- After filling of successful online Admission Application Form, candidate has to deposit the fee through online payment gateway of university.
- Admission Application forms applied without fee will not be
Application Fee
- Admission Application Fee of 5000/- + 18%GST (Rs. 5900/-) and for SC category candidate Rs. 2500/- + 18%GST (Rs.2950/-) will be deposited through online payment gateway only.
- Admission Application Fee will not be accepted in any form after due date/time in any

Deposition of Fee
Candidates will have to deposit the fee through online payment gateway of University.
- Registration for admission to MBBS/BDS courses is to be undertaken online at the University website bfuhs.ac.in.
- Application form for admission to MBBS/BDS courses submitted offline/printed copy shall not be accepted.
- Incomplete application forms shall not be considered and are liable to be The fee shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
- The allotment of college to the applicants for admission, shall be made as per merit determined on the basis of NEET-UG-2024 and the choice of the station opted by the candidate at the time of online counselling.

- Valid Caste certificate, sub-category certificate, if applicable
