About the Hospital
KIMS is integrated with the District Teaching Hospital, Koppal, which acts as its primary clinical training center. This hospital, with approximately 350 beds, provides healthcare to the region’s population and serves as a hands-on learning ground for medical students.
Students receive extensive training in clinical disciplines such as General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Community Medicine. The hospital supports 24/7 emergency care, diagnostic labs, a blood bank, and other critical services. These facilities ensure consistent exposure to real-time patient care, making clinical training both practical and impactful.
Principal’s Message
Although a detailed Principal’s message is not available publicly, the institution benefits from the academic leadership of Dr. Vijayanath Itagi (Dean) and Dr. Raghavendra Babu Y. P. (Principal). They lead the college with a vision rooted in ethical service, academic rigor, and practical training. The administration encourages an inclusive and research-driven medical education model to shape skilled healthcare professionals.
Seats in College
KIMS Koppal admits 150 students annually into the MBBS program. All admissions take place through NEET-UG, while postgraduate seats follow NEET-PG scores.
