Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), established in 2016, stands as a growing government medical college in coastal Karnataka. Located within the District Hospital premises on M.G. The college offers an MBBS program supported by a seven-storey main academic building. About the Hospital
Karwar Institute of Medical Sciences is attached to the District Hospital, Karwar, which functions as its main teaching hospital. Seats in College
KIMS, Karwar, offers 150 MBBS seats annually. These seats are filled based on performance in the NEET-UG exam. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) handles 15% of the seats under the All India Quota, while the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) manages the remaining 85% under the State Quota.
