About the College

The Relief Foundation for Health Services and Rural Development established Agastya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital in 2025.The college occupies a verdant 5-acre campus about 3 km from Koppal city’s heart, affiliates with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, and holds recognition from the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).Experts rate the college among the top self-financing Ayurvedic institutions in India, and it provides a nurturing environment for aspiring vaidyas.

Courses Offered

The college delivers a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) program lasting 5.5 years, which includes a compulsory 1-year internship. The curriculum covers key Ayurvedic disciplines such as Samhita & Siddhanta, Dravyaguna, Panchakarma, Shalya Tantra, Kayachikitsa, Prasuti & Striroga, and more.

Admission Process

Admission is merit-based through NEET-UG, followed by centralized counseling arranged by the appropriate authority. Candidates need to have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and meet the age criterion of 17 years by December 31 of the admission year.

  • Seat distribution occurs via counseling, typically including state quota, and possibly management and NRI quotas, in line with RGUHS and state regulations.
