About the College

Chikkaballapura Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) began its journey in 2021. This government medical college stands in Chikkaballapura, Karnataka. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). CIMS offers the MBBS program and aims to expand with time. The 58-acre campus includes modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a digital library. Students also access skill labs and academic spaces that promote focused learning. The college combines theory and clinical exposure to help students grow into confident doctors.

About the Hospital

CIMS is attached to the New District Hospital. This teaching hospital has over 750 beds and serves a wide region. It offers general and specialty care under one roof. Students receive practical training in departments like surgery, medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, and ENT. Emergency care works round the clock with dedicated teams. Moreover, the hospital features modular operation theatres, ICUs, and diagnostic labs. With strong patient inflow and real-time medical cases, students build clinical skills from the first year itself.

Seats in College

CIMS offers 100 MBBS seats every year. NEET-UG scores decide admission through both All India and Karnataka state quota. MCC handles counseling for All India seats, while KEA manages state quota admissions. The seat distribution follows reservation norms to ensure fair access. Students from all backgrounds compete on merit and dedication.

This financial support helps them focus on hands-on clinical work.
