Darbhanga Medical College (DMC), located in Laheriasarai, Darbhanga, ranks among the oldest government medical institutions in Bihar. Founded in 1946 as the State Medical Faculty, it was renamed Darbhanga Medical College shortly after. The college currently affiliates with the Bihar University of Health Sciences and remains fully recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

DMC admits 120 students annually into its MBBS program. NEET-UG scores solely determine admission eligibility. As per standard procedure, 15% of seats are reserved under the All India Quota, while 85% go to the Bihar State Quota.
