About The College
Dr DY Patil Medical College in Pimpri, Pune, began in 1996 as part of Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth. Recognized by the National Medical Commission, the college has earned NAAC A++ accreditation. It offers a modern campus and follows the cbme curriculum framework for its MBBS program. The institution admits 250 MBBS students annually through MCC’s deemed university counselling. Among these, 212 seats fall under the deemed quota and 38 under the nri quota. Students receive early clinical exposure, supported by tech-enabled lecture halls, advanced labs, skill development units, and a central library.
About The Hospital
The teaching hospital, Dr DY Patil Hospital & Research Centre, provides over 1,200 beds and supports comprehensive services across general and super specialty departments. It includes icu, picu, nicu, trauma care, modular operation theatres, a NABL-accredited diagnostics unit, and a 24×7 blood bank. It performs advanced surgeries including organ transplants and cochlear implants. Students train under high caseload conditions with real-time patient interaction from the first academic year.
