Government Medical College (GMC) Ambernath started in 2024 to meet the rising demand for quality medical education and healthcare in Thane district. Its location near the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) makes it an important healthcare training hub for this fast-growing area. The college is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). About the Hospital
The college works with several hospitals to ensure comprehensive clinical training for students. These include Late Dr. B. G. Chhaya Hospital, Ambernath, Government Maternity Hospital, Ulhasnagar 4, Central Hospital, Ulhasnagar 3, and Subdistrict Hospital, Badlapur.
