About the College
Government Medical College (GMC) Buldhana began on July 14, 2023, to meet the growing need for healthcare professionals in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region. It received its Letter of Permission (LoP) from the National Medical Commission (NMC) on October 3, 2024, for 100 MBBS seats per year, with admissions starting from the academic year 2024-25. The college is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. It focuses on building strong academic programs and shaping competent, ethical doctors who can serve both rural and urban populations.
About the Hospital
The college is linked with District Civil Hospital and District Women’s Hospital, which together have 420 beds. These hospitals include advanced facilities such as CT scans, Sonography, Colour Doppler, Digital X-ray, ICUs, SNCU, HDU, and Hemodialysis. This infrastructure ensures quality clinical training and provides essential healthcare to the local community while giving students exposure to a wide range of cases.

Seats in College
Government Medical College Buldhana has an annual intake of 100 MBBS students starting from the 2024-25 academic year. Currently, the college offers only the undergraduate MBBS course. Future plans include introducing postgraduate programs to enhance specialized medical education in the region.
