About the College
Dr. Laxmi Narayan Pandey Government Medical College Ratlam started in 2018 to strengthen medical education and healthcare in Madhya Pradesh. It affiliates with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University Jabalpur and holds recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC). Moreover, the college offers a modern campus with spacious lecture halls, advanced laboratories, and a well-equipped central library. It also provides digital learning resources, supporting students with access to updated medical knowledge. Consequently, the institution focuses on developing skilled, ethical, and compassionate healthcare professionals who can handle changing healthcare challenges.
About the Hospital
The attached teaching hospital is the District Hospital Ratlam. It currently operates with 485–600 beds and plans to expand to a 750-bed hospital on campus. Therefore, the total capacity will soon reach around 1,350 teaching beds. The hospital delivers 24×7 emergency and trauma care, outpatient and inpatient services, and specialty treatment units. In addition, it has advanced diagnostic services, modern operating theatres, and a blood bank. This facility ensures students gain hands-on clinical experience while learning under the supervision of experienced doctors.

Seats in College
The college admits 180 MBBS students every year. Furthermore, it offers 59 postgraduate seats in multiple MD/MS specialties, including General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Anesthesiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Physiology, and Community Medicine. In addition, nursing and paramedical courses prepare a strong allied healthcare workforce, which supports hospitals and medical services in the region.

The annual MBBS tuition fee is about INR 1,00,000, while refundable caution money is INR 14,000. Additionally, library fees (INR 1,000) and student fund fees (INR 1,000) apply each year. Hostel accommodation costs about INR 12,000 annually. For MD/MS courses, the tuition fee is around INR 1,00,000 per year, with total program costs estimated at INR 3.18 Lakhs. A rural service bond also applies, requiring graduates to serve or pay a penalty of INR 10,00,000 if skipped.
