About the College
Government Medical College (GMC), Seoni, began its first academic session in 2024. The college affiliates with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur, and holds recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC). Located in Seoni, it plays a key role in expanding access to medical education and healthcare in the region.
The campus features modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, a well-stocked library, and separate hostels for male and female students. About the Hospital
The college partners with Indira Gandhi District Hospital, Seoni, as its teaching hospital. This hospital has 400–450 beds and delivers a full range of healthcare services. It offers 24×7 emergency care, critical care, general medicine, outpatient (OPD), and inpatient (IPD) services across multiple specialties.
Students gain hands-on experience in clinical practices, patient care, and diagnostic procedures. The hospital provides ICU services, ECG facilities, and advanced diagnostic support. Due to this setup, students receive real-world exposure under the guidance of skilled medical professionals, preparing them for future clinical challenges.

Seats in College
GMC Seoni admits 100 students annually for its MBBS program. As a newly established institution, it focuses on building a strong base for undergraduate medical education. Postgraduate (MD/MS) courses are not yet available but may be introduced in the future as the college grows and strengthens its academic programs.

Fee Structure
The MBBS tuition fee is approximately INR 1,00,000 per year. A refundable caution deposit of INR 14,000 is also applicable, making the first-year fee about INR 1,14,000. Hostel fees range between INR 12,000 and INR 18,000 annually. Like other government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh, students must complete a one-year rural service bond. Failure to serve attracts a penalty of around INR 10,00,000.
