About the College

Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Rourkela began in 2009 under the Vigyan Bharati Charitable Trust. The college runs under affiliation with Odisha University of Health Sciences and holds recognition from the National Medical Commission. It offers an MBBS program with 100 seats per year. The campus provides modern infrastructure with digital lecture halls, dissection and simulation labs, a central library, and separate hostels for boys and girls. The college follows the NMC’s competency-based medical education (CBME) model, combining strong academic learning with early clinical exposure.

About the Hospital

The attached 400-bed teaching hospital serves patients from Rourkela and nearby rural districts. The hospital includes departments such as General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Community Medicine. Students receive clinical training in emergency units, ICUs, diagnostic labs, radiology, modular OTs, and blood banks. Faculty members guide students during ward rounds, OPD duties, emergency services, and community outreach programs.

Seat distribution follows guidelines that cover government quota, management quota, and NRI quota, ensuring transparent, merit-based selection.
