Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, established in 1990, functions under the Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), located in Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha near Nagpur. The college sits on a vast 122-acre campus and implements the competency-based MBBS curriculum from its foundation. It admits 250 MBBS students annually through NEET-UG, with allotments made via MCC and Maharashtra state counselling. About The Hospital
The Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital, attached to the college, operates over 1,300 beds, making it one of the largest teaching hospitals in central India. It delivers advanced healthcare services through departments such as ICU, NICU, PICU, trauma care, cardiology, oncology, nephrology, and neurology. The hospital includes modular OTs, NABL-accredited labs, a cath lab, a blood bank, dialysis, and transplant units. Furthermore, it actively engages in rural health outreach through mobile units and seasonal health camps. As a result, students benefit from extensive clinical exposure and continuous patient interaction across medical specialties.

Seats In College
The MBBS program accommodates 250 students annually through NEET-UG. These seats are allocated through centralized counselling by MCC and the Maharashtra State CET Cell. In addition, the college offers nearly 162 PG seats across MD/MS/Diploma disciplines. Super specialty courses (DM/M.Ch) account for an additional 9 to 12 seats, depending on the academic cycle. To clarify, postgraduate and super specialty admissions follow NEET-PG and NEET-SS criteria respectively, ensuring merit-based entry at every level.

Hostel and mess fees vary depending on the type of accommodation. Meanwhile, postgraduate courses carry tuition of ₹15–25 lakh annually depending on the specialty and category. After that, students should also account for 5–7.5% yearly tuition hikes and additional co-curricular charges.
