Karnataka Medical College and Research Institute (KMCRI), formerly known as Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubballi, holds a legacy of excellence since its inception in 1957. Originally named Karnataka Medical College, it gained autonomous status in 1997 and adopted its present name in 2024. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Spread across a sprawling 100-acre urban campus, KMCRI provides a robust academic and co-curricular environment. About the Hospital
KMCRI operates in tandem with KIMS Hospital, a major government tertiary care hospital in North Karnataka.
