About the College
Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation (KIMS) began in 2005 in Chaitanya Health City, Amalapuram, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, grants its affiliation. The National Medical Commission also recognizes the institution. KIMS operates with a clear goal—to offer excellent medical education and meet the healthcare needs of surrounding communities. The campus covers 25 acres and features digital lecture halls, anatomy and research labs, a central library, computer labs, and hostels for male and female students. The institute fosters academic excellence and supports professional development through a focused learning environment.
About the Hospital
KIMS runs a 750-bed teaching hospital that supports comprehensive medical training. The hospital includes ICUs, emergency units, operating theaters, and diagnostic labs. It serves patients in general medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, psychiatry, and obstetrics & gynecology. Students learn by working directly with patients and medical professionals across all specialties. The hospital not only enriches clinical training but also strengthens health services for rural and urban communities in the region.

MBBS Seats in College
KIMS admits 150 students each year into its MBBS program. Students secure admission through NEET UG scores. Counseling takes place through Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences. The college divides seats among state quota, management quota, and NRI quota based on applicable guidelines.
