About the College

KPC Medical College and Hospital, located in Jadavpur, Kolkata, started in 2008 under the KPC Charitable Trust. It became the first private medical college in West Bengal. The institution affiliates with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and holds recognition from the National Medical Commission. The college offers the MBBS program with 150 seats every year. It follows the NMC’s competency-based curriculum to train students in a structured, modern format. The campus features advanced digital classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, skill labs, departmental museums, and a centralized digital library. Separate hostels for boys and girls provide safe and comfortable accommodation. Students receive early clinical exposure and participate in community-based learning programs to enhance practical knowledge.

About the Hospital

KPC Medical College runs a 750-bed multi-specialty hospital that functions as the clinical training ground for students. The hospital includes departments such as General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Orthopedics. It also offers super-specialty care. The facility includes ICUs, NICU, PICU, modular operation theatres, CT and MRI imaging units, dialysis services, and a 24×7 emergency department. Medical students receive hands-on training and direct clinical exposure across all departments. They participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and case discussions under senior faculty guidance.
