Krishnanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, founded in 2023, is located in Krishnanagar, Nadia district of West Bengal. Operated under the Krishnanagar Health and Education Trust, the college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission. The institution offers 150 MBBS seats annually. Its campus features modern academic amenities including lecture halls, dissection rooms, skill labs, seminar spaces, a central library, and separate hostels for boys and girls. Following the competency-based medical education (CBME) model by the NMC, the curriculum emphasizes clinical exposure from early years along with a strong theoretical foundation.

About the Hospital

The college is attached to a 600-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital that serves Krishnanagar and surrounding regions. The hospital hosts departments such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Community Medicine. The hospital also includes well-equipped operation theatres, ICUs, diagnostic labs, radiology services, and a 24/7 casualty unit. Students receive continuous clinical training through ward duties, outpatient rotations, emergency care, and rural health programs under the guidance of senior faculty.
