About The College
Kurnool Medical College (KMC) stands as one of the earliest medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. It began operations in 1956 under the Government of Andhra. The 36-acre campus shares space with the Government General Hospital, offering full academic and residential support.
Students attend classes in smart lecture halls and work in advanced laboratories. The campus includes an anatomy museum, digital library, simulation labs, and a 900-seat air-conditioned auditorium. This approach introduces early clinical exposure, real-case learning, and continuous assessments to strengthen clinical judgment from day one.
About The Hospital
The college partners with the upgraded Government General Hospital. It now runs with a capacity of nearly 1,150 beds. Departments include Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, OBGYN, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Radiology, Emergency Medicine, and Critical Care.
