N.K.P. Salve Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, established in 1990, operates under the Vidya Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Academy of Higher Education. Located on a 68-acre campus at Digdoh Hills, Hingna Road in Nagpur, the college is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and holds recognition from the National Medical Commission. The institute has followed a competency-based MBBS curriculum from the beginning and admits 150 students annually via NEET UG. Out of these, 85 percent fall under the state quota, while 15 percent come under the institutional and NRI quota. About the Hospital
Lata Mangeshkar Hospital serves as the teaching hospital with 1,130 beds, offering a wide range of medical and surgical services. The hospital provides patient care in specialties including internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, psychiatry, and obstetrics and gynecology. It also runs advanced super specialty units such as neurosurgery, oncology, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, and urology. Critical care units include MICU, SICU, ICCU, NICU, PICU, and a burn ICU. Facilities extend to disaster management units, modular operation theaters, NABL-certified labs, blood bank, dialysis, CT/MRI diagnostics, and 24×7 pathology. With over 2,000 OPD/IPD cases daily and an 80 percent bed occupancy rate, students benefit from continuous, high-volume clinical exposure.
