About the College
Prakash Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, located in Sangli, began in 2016 under the leadership of Prakash Shikshan Mandal. The college operates under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and holds recognition from the National Medical Commission. Students follow a competency based MBBS curriculum from the first year. The campus covers 25 acres and offers modern learning spaces that include digital lecture halls, fully equipped labs, demo rooms, and a central library with more than 9,000 books and 60+ journals in print and digital formats. The college admits 150 MBBS students every year through NEET UG under state, management, and NRI quotas. It also runs MD/MS postgraduate programs across clinical and preclinical specialties, with 8–10 seats available annually.
About the Hospital
Prakash Hospital & Research Institute, situated within the college campus, began in 2014 and runs around 300–350 teaching beds. The hospital includes 20 ICU beds, trauma and emergency care units, and modular operation theatres. It offers services in medicine, surgery, pediatrics, OBG, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, psychiatry, and TB & chest. Advanced infrastructure supports intensive care (MICU, SICU, ICCU, NICU, PICU), NABL certified diagnostic labs, blood bank, dialysis, CT/MRI imaging, and 24×7 emergency care. The hospital records a daily outpatient footfall of 600–700 patients and maintains a consistent inpatient load.

Seats in College
