Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), located in Ranchi, stands as one of Jharkhand’s most reputed government medical institutions. RIMS Hospital is one of the largest government healthcare facilities in eastern India. With 2,170 beds (some sources mention 1,500 beds), it serves as a full-fledged tertiary care center. It features specialized centers like the 50-seat Dental College, a 50-bed Trauma Center, a 50-bed Emergency Unit, and a state-of-the-art Oncology Center with radiation facilities. Seats in College

RIMS Ranchi admits 180 students annually to its MBBS program through NEET-UG. For postgraduate MD/MS courses, it offers around 186 seats. The BDS program at the Dental Institute takes in 50 students per year. The B.Sc. Nursing program admits 60 students, while the GNM course has 150 seats. The paramedical wing includes 90 additional seats. This wide intake supports the growing need for medical professionals across Jharkhand and beyond.
