Sundarlal Patwa Government Medical College (SPGMC), Mandsaur, started in 2024. The college honors the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Sundarlal Patwa. It affiliates with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur, and holds recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The campus spreads across 30 acres of greenery and features modern facilities. It includes smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, and a digital central library. The college focuses on producing competent and compassionate doctors who can serve communities with dedication and empathy.
About the Hospital
The teaching hospital for SPGMC is the District Hospital, Mandsaur. It has 564 beds and offers 24×7 emergency care along with inpatient (IPD) and outpatient (OPD) services. The hospital covers various medical and surgical specialties and includes advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities.
Students gain hands-on experience in patient care and medical practices, which strengthens their clinical skills. Seats in College
SPGMC admits 150 students annually to its MBBS program. As a newly developed institution, its focus remains on strengthening undergraduate medical education. Postgraduate (MD/MS) courses are expected to be introduced gradually as infrastructure and academic capacity expand.

The total tuition fee for the complete 5.5-year program is around INR 4.50 Lakhs. Hostel facilities are available at separate charges. Eligible students can benefit from schemes like Medhavi Yojana, Jankalyan Yojana, and Post-Matric Scholarships.
