About the College
T D Medical College Alappuzha began in 1963 under Thirumala Devaswom. It was Kerala’s first privately managed medical college. By 1967, the Government of Kerala started to take control. The college became a government institution officially in 1972. It sits in Vandanam, about 9 km from Alappuzha town. The 162-acre campus lies along NH 47. It is affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur. It is also recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Over the years, the college has grown into a trusted place for medical education and healthcare.
About the Hospital
The teaching hospital at T D Medical College has 1,050 beds. It sees more than 2,000 outpatients daily. This multi-specialty hospital offers 24×7 emergency care and trauma services. It also includes ICUs and departments for advanced treatments. Since 2010, the hospital has worked fully within the college campus. This setup gives students hands-on training in many medical fields. Moreover, the wide range of clinical departments helps students learn through real-time experience.
Principal’s Message

Seats in College
The college offers 175 MBBS seats each year through NEET UG. Besides that, students can choose from 79 postgraduate (MD/MS) seats in 23 specialties. It also has 11 super-specialty seats (DM/M.Ch) across 5 fields. This academic range helps students grow through every phase of medical training.

Fees Structure
