Tinsukia Medical College & Hospital began its academic journey in 2024 and became Assam’s thirteenth government medical college. The college operates under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, and holds approval from the National Medical Commission for its MBBS course with an annual intake of 100 students.
The campus spans 51 acres and includes academic buildings, well-equipped laboratories, demonstration rooms, and a central library with digital learning access. The college follows the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) model to promote early clinical exposure and integrated teaching. Hostel facilities exist separately for male and female students, and the campus includes staff quarters, mess halls, and recreational areas. About the Hospital
