Terna Medical College, Navi Mumbai, was established in 1991 by the Terna Public Charitable Trust. Located in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, the college functions under the affiliation of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. It holds recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and offers the MBBS program with an annual intake of 150 students. Admission takes place via NEET UG and is managed under the state quota, institutional quota, and NRI quota as per guidelines. The campus features academic blocks, modern classrooms, department-wise laboratories, and a central library. Hostel accommodation is available for both boys and girls. The institution operates with a strong academic and clinical focus, preparing students with competency-based learning from their first year onward.
About the Hospital
The attached Terna Sahyadri Hospital in Navi Mumbai serves as the teaching hospital for the college. It has around 500 beds and offers clinical services across departments like general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, dermatology, ENT, ophthalmology, and more. The hospital includes ICUs, NICU, PICU, diagnostic services including NABL-accredited labs, radiology (CT, X-ray), operation theatres, and emergency care units. Students benefit from hands-on clinical exposure early in the MBBS program through direct interaction with patients and real-world case handling.
