About the College

Dr. N. Y. Tasgaonkar Institute of Medical Science (NYTIMS) launched in 2021 under the aegis of Saraswati Education Society. Located in Karjat, Raigad, the institute is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and recognized by the National Medical Commission. Dr. N. Y. Tasgaonkar Medical College Karjat offers 100 MBBS seats annually through NEET-UG. Since inception, the college has followed a competency-based medical curriculum. Spread across 26 acres, the campus houses digital lecture halls, skill labs, central library, IT-enabled classrooms, and on-campus hospital facilities. The academic environment promotes holistic growth through hands-on learning and interdisciplinary instruction.

About the Hospital

The Raigad Hospital & Research Centre functions as the institute’s teaching hospital. With a bed strength ranging from 400 to 760, the hospital provides extensive clinical exposure across departments. It features adult ICUs, NICU, PICU, trauma units, modular operation theatres, a NABL-certified diagnostics lab, a functional blood bank, pharmacy services, and a 24×7 ambulance system. Students begin clinical interactions early in the course, supported by structured outpatient and inpatient rotations. These rotations allow them to build diagnostic confidence and sharpen patient management skills.

Seats in College

NYTIMS admits 100 MBBS students each academic year. Of these, 85 seats fall under the state quota, while 15 seats serve NRI or institutional candidates. Admission is conducted through Maharashtra’s NEET-UG counselling process. The program includes 4.5 years of academic training followed by a one-year rotating internship, ensuring complete clinical readiness.

For general category students, annual MBBS tuition is approximately ₹8.5 lakh, inclusive of tuition, development fees, and caution deposits. Management quota seats cost ₹20 lakh per year, whereas NRI quota seats range from ₹24 lakh to ₹35 lakh annually. The total program cost for a general-category student comes to around ₹45 lakh. Hostel and mess charges average ₹4.55 lakh per year, based on accommodation type.
