Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research (MIMER), located in Talegaon Dabhade, Pune, was established in 1995 under the MAEER’s MIT Pune Trust. The college spreads across a 65-acre semi-rural campus and operates under the academic affiliation of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. It holds recognition from the National Medical Commission and NAAC A grade accreditation.
MIMER follows a competency-based curriculum designed to develop clinically proficient, socially responsible medical professionals. The college admits 150 MBBS students annually through NEET-UG counselling, with seats allocated under state merit, institutional quota, and NRI categories. In addition to undergraduate education, MIMER offers about 35 postgraduate seats in MD, MS, and diploma courses across major specialties. About The Hospital
Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Rural Hospital functions as MIMER’s teaching hospital. Located on the same campus, the hospital has around 720 beds and offers tertiary care services in general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, ENT, ophthalmology, anaesthesiology, radiodiagnosis, and others.
The hospital supports a wide range of advanced facilities including ICUs, NICUs, PICUs, modular operation theatres, dialysis units, NABL-certified labs, CT/MRI imaging, 24×7 emergency care, and a blood bank. It sees over 900 OPD visits and 1,000 inpatient admissions daily, creating a dynamic learning environment. Students gain clinical exposure from the early stages of their MBBS journey, with consistent opportunities for hands-on practice and community engagement.

Institutional/management and NRI quota admissions involve higher tuition slabs. Postgraduate tuition fees stand at ₹9.68 lakh annually for general quota students. Institutional and NRI seats carry increased fees of ₹28.6 lakh and ₹41.7 lakh per year respectively. Hostel accommodations include separate blocks for UG, PG, and interns, with UG hostel fees averaging ₹50,000 per year and higher rates for PG rooms.
