Employees State Insurance Corporation Medical College, Patna, began operations in 2021 under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. This institution was created as part of the ESIC initiative to expand access to quality medical education and healthcare. The hospital has over 500 beds and delivers services in general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, and various other fields.

It includes critical care units such as ICUs, NICUs, dialysis units, diagnostic labs, and blood banks. The hospital maintains a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and supports clinical learning with real-world case exposure. Students engage in practical training from the first year, gaining experience in both outpatient and inpatient services.
