Rajmata Shrimati Devendra Kumari Singhdeo Government Medical College, located in Ambikapur, began its academic journey in 2016. The Government of Chhattisgarh established this institute to strengthen medical education and expand healthcare access in northern Chhattisgarh’s tribal belt. Government Medical College Surguja Affiliated with Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University, Raipur, the college holds recognition from the National Medical Commission.
