About the College

Established in 1996–97 under the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust®, the college is rooted in a legacy of education, service, and healthcare. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, and recognized by NCISM (formerly CCIM) and the Ministry of AYUSH.
Located in bustling Vijayanagara, the college is easily accessible and serves a large student and patient population.

Courses Offered

SKAMCH & RC offers a full spectrum of Ayurvedic education:

• BAMS (UG) – 5.5 years (4.5 years academics + 1-year internship), with 100 seats per batch.
• PG (MD/MS) in five specializations: Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, Prasuti Tantra & Stree Roga, Shalya Tantra, and Shalakya Tantra.
• PhD Programs in Kayachikitsa and Panchakarma,

Admission Process & Eligibility

• BAMS: Requires NEET-UG score, completion of PUC/12th with PCB (50% marks general, 45% for reserved categories), and a minimum age of 17 by October 1 of admission year. Non-Karnataka applicants must get an eligibility certificate from RGUHS.
• PG: Requires AIAPGET or equivalent score—handled via college/ university counseling.

Infrastructure & Facilities

• Classrooms & Labs: Spacious, well-ventilated with LCD/OHP aids. Each department has its own lab equipped with mannequins, charts, models, and specimens.
• Library: Houses over 20,000 current books with digital access to 2,000+ medical journals and Helinet facilities.
• Herbal Garden: A 10-acre “Charaka Vana” featuring over 400 medicinal plant species, designed per Charaka Samhita.
• Hostels: Comfortable accommodations for UG & PG students, featuring visitor lounges, recreation and study halls, prayer rooms, indoor games, and hygienic mess.

Hospital & Clinical Exposure

• Hospital: A 350-bed multispecialty hospital with 12 OPDs in various Ayurvedic branches (General Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, etc.). Equipped with Panchakarma theaters, pharmacy, and categorized patient wards.
• Diagnostic Facilities: Onsite services include ECG, X-ray, USG, physiotherapy, and a well-stocked in-house pharmacy.

Seats & Intake

• BAMS: 100 seats annually.
• PG: Approximately 6 seats per specialty (total ~30).
• PhD: Seats available in two specialties.
