About the College

Founded in 1996 under the aegis of the Bapuji Educational Trust (based in Honnali), Bapuji Ayurveda Medical College has emerged as one of the most well-regarded Ayurvedic institutions in the Malnad region of Karnataka. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, and recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) / Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), as well as the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

Spread across a sprawling 10-acre campus, the college houses a dedicated academic block, hospital, canteen, hostel facilities, and an herbal garden.

Courses Offered

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)

• Duration: 5.5 years (4.5 years of academic study plus a 1-year internship)
• Intake: 50 seats, filled through NEET-based counseling via both All India Quota and Karnataka state processes.

Admission Process & Eligibility

• NEET-UG qualification is mandatory.
• Candidates must have passed Class 12 (PUC) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology—minimum 50% aggregate for general category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
• Age requirement: Minimum 17 years by December 31 of the admission year.

• An attached 60-bed teaching hospital offering both IPD and OPD services, with facilities like Panchakarma theater, operation theater, yoga & physiotherapy center, and diagnostic services (X-ray, ECG, USG)
• Library with approximately 6,500 books and 25 journals, plus audio-visual and digital access facilities
• Hostels

• The 60-bed hospital delivers hands-on clinical training through both inpatient and outpatient services, therapeutic departments, and emergency care.
• Rich exposure to panchakarma therapies, parasurgical procedures, and wellness treatments, enhancing practical learning.

Seats & Intake

• Total BAMS seats: 50 annually.
• Seat distribution across AIQ, state quota, and management quotas ensures accessibility while accommodating institutional flexibility.

Fees Structure

• Tuition fees (through AIQ via AYUSH Counseling): Approximately ₹2,00,500 per year.
• Hostel fees: Around ₹5,000 per month (~₹60,000 annually).
