About the College

Gajra Raja Medical College (GRMC) Gwalior started in 1946 and has grown into one of the leading medical institutions in Madhya Pradesh. It operates under the G.R. Medical College Society and functions with guidance from the Department of Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The college holds affiliation with Jiwaji University Gwalior and Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University Jabalpur. Recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC) ensures its academic quality. The campus features advanced lecture halls, modern museums, well-equipped laboratories, and a central library that supports research and learning. GRMC maintains a strong academic culture and aims to create skilled medical professionals through structured education and practical exposure.

About the Hospital

GRMC connects closely with the Jaya Arogya Group of Hospitals, which has served patients since 1893. This hospital group has 2,190 beds and modern medical infrastructure for clinical training. It provides services in outpatient and inpatient departments and offers 24×7 emergency care. Kamla Raja Hospital for Women and Children, established in 1952 and inaugurated by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, strengthens specialized healthcare for women and children. Students at GRMC receive wide clinical exposure in various specialties, supported by diagnostic and treatment facilities that meet tertiary care standards. This hospital system plays a key role in medical teaching and community healthcare services.

Seats in College

GRMC admits 200 MBBS students each year. It offers 178 postgraduate MD/MS seats across clinical and non-clinical specialties. Super-specialty courses include 17 seats for DM/M.Ch. programs. Diploma courses in multiple disciplines further expand opportunities for medical education and skill development. These programs ensure comprehensive training at undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty levels.

MD/MS programs cost around INR 3.65 Lakhs for three years, while diploma courses require about INR 1.07 Lakhs for two years. Super-specialty M.Ch. courses cost about INR 3.44 Lakhs. Hostel facilities are available at approximately INR 12,000 per year. Fees may vary and can change based on updates from the authorities.
