AIIMS Bhubaneswar was officially established in 2012 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to expand access to advanced medical facilities across India. Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee laid its foundation stone on July 15, 2003, marking the beginning of this landmark institution. Situated on a sprawling 100-acre urban campus in the Sijua area near Bhubaneswar, Odisha, AIIMS Bhubaneswar operates as an autonomous national-level institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The institute blends academic excellence with clinical care and medical research, creating an environment that supports both learning and innovation.
About the Hospital
The AIIMS Bhubaneswar hospital functions as a major tertiary care center with around 920 beds, including specialized units and additional facilities for emergency care. It delivers comprehensive services across 43 departments, covering pre-clinical, para-clinical, broad specialties, and super specialties. The hospital houses a Level 1 Trauma Center and a dedicated NALCO-supported facility for patient relatives. It also operates a telemedicine service through its dedicated app, ensuring patients receive timely consultations. Continuous infrastructure expansion strengthens its capacity to provide cutting-edge healthcare.

Seats in College
The MBBS program admits 125 students each year through NEET-UG counselling. The institute also runs postgraduate, doctoral, nursing, and allied health programs. More than 370 students study across these courses, guided by a team of 252 experienced faculty members.

Fees Structure
